“Intelligent Design” Judge, Keynote Speaker
November 14, 2007 – Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba, P.C., a premier Lehigh Valley law firm, is pleased to be a sponsor of the Bar Association of Lehigh County’s semi-formal Member Dinner, Wednesday, November 14, 2007. United States District Judge John E. Jones III, who presided over the landmark federal “Intelligent Design” trial, will be the keynote speaker. The Judge will speak on the topic, “Energizing the Bench and Bar to Promote Judicial Independence.”
In 2005 Judge Jones presided over the six-week trial in the case of Kitzmiller v. Dover, heard by the U.S. District Court for the Middle District of Pennyslvania. The case attracted international attention for its debate between scientific theory and religious beliefs.
