Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba to Host The First Tee Lehigh Valley at the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open
 June 23, 2009 – Center Valley, Pennsylvania – The Center Valley law firm of Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba, P.C. is pleased to host the members of The First Tee Lehigh Valley at the 2009 U.S. Women’s Open, Tuesday, July 7th, at Saucon Valley Country Club. More than 20 young people will attend the golf tournament where kids will have VIP access to interactive games, a practice putting green and front-row seating in the grandstands. Tuesday, July 7, is “Celebration of Women in Sport Day” at the U.S. Open. Five world-class athletes, including Julie Foudy, former captain of the U.S. Women’s Soccer team and two-time World Cup champion and Michele Marciniak, former WNBA player and University of Tennessee basketball national champion, will hold a clinic at 10:00 a.m. where they will provide advice and inspiration to children of all ages. In addition to all this, The First Tee group will have lunch in the law firm’s hospitality tent and watch some golf from the Sky Box on the 18th hole.
The First Tee, an initiative of the World Golf Foundation, was created in 1997 as a way to bring golf to youngsters that otherwise would not be exposed to the game and its positive values. The mission of The First Tee is to impact the lives of young people by providing learning facilities and education programs that promote character development and life-enhancing values through the game of golf. Julie Thomases, Executive Director of The First Tee, Lehigh Valley Chapter recently thanked the law firm for hosting The First Tee and went on to say “…this is a wonderful opportunity for The First Tee kids. It will expose them to a national golf tournament at a venue where many of these kids may not otherwise have a chance to visit. In addition to golf, this outing will provide life lessons that complement The First Tee’s mission.”
