Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba is pleased to announce attorney that Maraleen D. Shields, shareholder of the Firm’s Healthcare and Litigation & Trial Practice Groups, has been chosen as a panelist for a portion of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s 2018 Mid-Year Meeting.
On January 26, 2018, Shields will be participating in the CLE seminar entitled “Promoting Diversity and Inclusion in the Legal Profession: Eight Recommendations to Move the Ball Forward.” She and the other panelists, all members of the PBA Membership Engagement Blue Ribbon Panel, will be discussing recent research on the barriers faced by millennials, minorities and mothers in the legal profession.
“It’s crucial, today, to engage and encourage mothers, millennials and minorities in the professional realm,” said Joseph A. Bubba, co-managing shareholder of the firm. “The Firm is honored that Maraleen was chosen to present to the Bar Association’s general members on this critical topic.”
Shields is the proud mother of two children under the age of seven and an integral part of FL&B for her expertise on the subjects of HIPAA, medical staff disputes, and medical malpractice liability.
