Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba, P.C. is pleased to announce Maraleen D. Shields has been named a shareholder of the Firm.

“When Maraleen joined FLB in 2014, she had a great CV and experience working at a large firm,” said Joseph A. Bubba, co-managing shareholder. “Since that time, she has used these skills to serve our existing clients. Her strength in both healthcare and litigation has added depth and strength to those practice areas.”

Ms. Shields serves as an attorney in FLB’s Healthcare and Litigation & Trial Practice groups. Having earned her JD from the University of Pittsburgh School of Law and her BA from Kenyon College, Ms. Shields is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Pennsylvania Bar Association, Pennsylvania Defense Institute, Bar Association of Lehigh County and Northampton County Bar Association.

In 2008, Ms. Shields was first recognized as a “Pennsylvania Rising Star”, a designation awarded to only 2.5% of attorneys under 40. She has continued to be named to that list each year since 2012. Ms. Shields was also named one of “Forty Under 40” by Lehigh Valley Business Journal in 2015.

Ms. Shields is originally from Pittsburgh, PA. Since relocating to the Lehigh Valley in 2006, she has developed strong ties to the community. She is currently VP of Communications of Cetronia Elementary School’s PAC, as well as a member of the Board of Directors for the Lehigh Valley Children’s Centers. She was formerly a member of The Hillside School’s Board of Trustees.
