Fitzpatrick Lentz & Bubba, P.C. wishes the best of luck to all the women participating in the Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley She Nailed It! competition. The Firm is proud to have four attorneys competing for a second year as the “Hammers of Justice”. This year’s team includes: Maraleen D. Shields, shareholder in the Firm’s Litigation & Trial Practice and Healthcare group, Abigail M. Martin and Stephanie Henao, attorneys in the Firm’s Corporate, Business & Banking group, and Veronica DeAngelo Johnson, attorney in the Firm’s Corporate Business & Banking and Real Estate, Land Use & Development groups.
“I first volunteered with Habitat for Humanity in 2006, in response to Hurricane Katrina,” said Ms. Martin of her involvement with the organization. “It was devastating to witness first-hand the impact of the hurricane, but I was humbled and proud to have participated in one of the initial steps toward the rehabilitation of such a beautiful and culturally rich part of our country. That experience stays with me today, and is just one reason why I support Habitat for Humanity Lehigh Valley and the She Nailed It! competition.”
She Nailed It! is an all-women relay competition. Each team member must fully hammer a nail into a 2″x 6″ and quickly pass the hammer off to the next team member. The teams must raise $1,500 each in order to participate in the relay; all of the proceeds go to funding affordable housing solutions in the region. FLB’s team is close to raising $5,000 for the competition.
