Robert B. Kaplan is a member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Corporate, Business & Banking Groups. He primarily represents privately held companies in a range of legal matters, with a focus on mergers and acquisitions. He has substantial experience guiding clients through complex business transactions on the sell-side and buy-side, including structuring deals, drafting, reviewing and negotiating purchase agreements and various ancillary documents, and conducting comprehensive diligence reviews. Mr. Kaplan also advises on general corporate matters such as entity formation, contract negotiation, corporate reorganizations, and other critical business matters. Additionally, Mr. Kaplan has experience representing clients in commercial real estate transactions, focusing mostly on leasing matters. He works closely with clients to provide strategic guidance that supports both day-to-day operations and long-term objectives.
In his spare time, Robert enjoys volunteering as a mentor to first-generation students at iMentor where he helps young students navigate their path towards and through postsecondary education.
