REAL ESTATE, LAND USE & DEVELOPMENT
Christopher J. Mitchell is an attorney in the firm’s Real Estate, Land Use, and Development Practice Group.
Mr. Mitchell represents clients in real estate purchase and sale transactions, land use and zoning matters, construction projects, commercial and industrial leases, property disputes, and eminent domain proceedings. He is also experienced advising developers and homeowners’ associations regarding planned community and condominium issues.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mitchell served as senior in-house counsel to a global mining and building materials company. In that role, he provided legal support for large-scale industrial operations on issues such as mineral title, greenfield/brownfield site acquisition and development, quarry reclamation and disposition, and infrastructure construction projects including a $600 Million cement plant modernization and U.S. Department of Energy carbon capture initiative. He is the Firm’s representative member with the Pennsylvania Aggregates and Concrete Association (PACA) and continues to represent clients in the mining sector. Mr. Mitchell began his legal career as an Assistant District Attorney in Meadville, Pennsylvania and has tried over 20 cases to verdict.
