Banner about COVID-19FLB’s Real Estate, Land Use & Development Group attorneys are here to support businesses, developers and community organizations as they face the challenges presented by the current COVID-19 (Coronavirus) outbreak.

The most frequent questions received concern possible extensions of the time periods and deadlines related to zoning, land development and similar permits, submissions and approvals.

Currently, there is no provision or emergency legislation in place to extend or protect these regulated time periods in the State of Pennsylvania. As a result, we are advising clients that they should not presume extensions will be granted during or after this outbreak. We recommend that you review all of your zoning and development permits and deadlines and proceed as if there will be no extensions granted. Our Real Estate team is available to help you assess approvals, submission status and permits, confirm deadlines, and follow through on whatever is required to ensure no lapse in your entitlements and that reviews will commence at appropriate times.

We continue to monitor the ever-changing situation and will inform you if there are legislative changes to the approval or review processes. In addition, our team is available to advise landlords, property managers, tenants and others through the difficulties you face during this time.

Please contact us using the form below, or give us a call at 610-797-9000. As always, we are here for you.
