Project Blueprint is a leadership development program with the goal of increasing the number of ethnically diverse volunteers who serve on the boards of Lehigh Valley nonprofit organizations. The goal of Project Blueprint is to help organizations develop boards that are more reflective of the culturally diverse communities they serve. The program includes all aspects of board service including understanding the legal guidelines and practices.

“Marie McConnell presented a well-rounded & thorough program to the class on the legal considerations for both the nonprofit and its board members,” said Karen Daly Smith, chief executive officer of the Volunteer Center of the Lehigh Valley.  “She brought to light many of the practical applications of an actual board meeting setting. Our 2017 class will graduate 27 trained leaders to make an impact in our community.”
